Iron Bridge Integration launches Pub Hub, the healthcare industry's first public health clearinghouse and signs contract with nephrology software provider Falcon EHR

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania – Iron Bridge Integration (IBI) announces the general availability of “Pub Hub”, the healthcare industry’s first public health clearinghouse. IBI has also been selected by Falcon, LLC, a subsidiary of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc., to simplify their state public heath reporting needs.

The Population and Public Health requirement in Meaningful Use Stage 2 mandates healthcare organizations submit data for syndromic surveillance, immunization, cancer and electronically reportable lab results to their state.

Healthcare providers and health systems may have access to the public health data in their certified electronic health record (EHR), but cannot easily send the information. Pub Hub solves the public health data transmission problem by having prebuilt connections to all states with active electronic registries.

“We chose IBI because of their extensive knowledge and expertise in healthcare integration,” said Derek Schoonover, Vice President of Falcon EHR. “We have clients across the United States, and when one of those states makes a change to its requirements, IBI will manage and update Pub Hub.”

Pub Hub’s flexible platform as a service eliminates the need to invest in expensive hardware, and software licenses. Unlike other vendors who may charge for each individual connection, IBI clients pay a monthly subscription fee for the entire solution.
