Iron Bridge, a leader in public health and specialized registry integration solutions, today announced the availability of real-time, bi-directional data exchange with the State of Tennessee Immunization Information System (“TennIIS”) via its Pub Hub 2.0 public health registry clearinghouse.

As part of the conversion to real-time data exchange, Iron Bridge successfully migrated all customers provider locations that were previously enrolled with, and submitting to, TennIIS from SFTP to real-time without incurring any downtime. Moving forward, all new provider submissions to TennIIS will be real-time submissions and queries.

The use of real-time data exchange provides physicians and other health care providers with up-to-date information about a patient’s vaccination history and forecast, allowing them to make more informed clinical decisions.  Additionally, state registries will receive vaccination information in real time instead of waiting on periodic batch submissions.

“We are excited to have real-time data exchange with the State of Tennessee.  All of the provider locations and vendors know right away if messages were successfully sent.  Also, if they were using Iron Bridge’s bi-directional query, those vaccines would be able to be queried on time” said Darrell Crabtree, Director of Public Health Registry Services at Iron Bridge.
